In the mid 90’s while representing a custom builder within a golf course community, Bob Slawson realized that the builders were targeting families with family-type floor plans while there were many people looking to down size into low maintenance homes and their needs were not being met. Bob decided to focus on the low maintenance, active lifestyle segment of the new home market.
It was the next experience that proved very successful. Starting in 2001 Bob associated with a custom builder focused on the needs of those downsizing into the low maintenance lifestyle. During that tenure Bob listened carefully to his customers and changed and enhanced floor plans to suit the needs of each while staying focused on their budget. That process grew into designing and re-designing floor plans for homes in several low maintenance Zionsville and Carmel neighborhoods including spec homes, model homes, and a Home-A-Rama show home that won two design awards. It was also during this time that Bob founded Bob Slawson Realty to better assist his customers with their real estate needs. From 2001 to 2010 Bob assisted his customers in design of new low maintenance homes that totaled over $50,000,000 in sales.
It is based upon this experience that Bob has partnered with extremely capable associates to continue to enhance the experience of the down sizing customer and continue to provide a quality new home designed specifically to their needs at an affordable price. It is an enjoyable process with a great reward at the end.
